Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years celebration. Ophelia spent it with her Aunt Amy and Uncle Sean. Here are a couple of my favorite moments that I was able to capture over the past few days.

Miss Rose being so so gentle with my parent's cat Max.

Auntie Rachel sharing her birthday cake....

And Ophelia's Uncle Philip just being awesome. (He dressed Rose that morning....notice the Batman outfit.)

More about Christmas!

Here are a few more pictures from Christmas Eve.

A better shot of her outfit!!....and Goldfish!

Celebrating at Uncle Sean and Aunt Amy's house after church. (Ophelia's Great-Grandma Helen and Grandpa Dale got  her that fancy coat last year. Still fits!

Merry Christmas!!!

It has been a busy couple of days dancing, singing, partying, napping, and getting ready to celebrate the birth of our Lord! This is Ophelia's second Christmas and definitely the best so far.

She helped Uncle Brian and Auntie Nicole decorate their tree in blue and gold.

Opened up some new books from here Great-Aunt Mary and Great Grandparents. Books are her favorite!

Wore a new pair of onesie pajamas and attempted to find where her feet had gone....

And on Christmas Eve, spent some time with her cousins!

It's a Christmas nightmare!

To add to the hard week that Ophelia has had, today she pulled 2 glass ornaments off of our Christmas tree and smashed them together, shattering glass around the living room and cutting her finger. She probably won't want to play with the ornaments anymore....

Happy 12-12-12!!

She has my favorite hair and my favorite yawns. This magic happened early this morning at Aunt Nicole and Uncle Brian's house.

At 12:12:12 pm today on 12-12-12, I was making oatmeal for my beautiful baby girl while she looked out the living room window at the amazing roses that are blooming in our backyard (see pictures of said roses on my cousin Rachel's blog: rachelsdailyadventures.blogspot.com ....it was a good moment. I love her so much.

Later we did some coloring!

Hopefully her bruised nose heals soon! She has not been too happy about it...

Bruised Nose Rose

Apparently Ophelia has already decided what she wants to be when she grows up: a stuntman. She has spent the past few days showing off her many talents...from falling off beds, to bending herself backward over my easel, attempting to balance on top of her larger toys, pulling dining room chairs down onto her face/body and bumping her head on walls, counters and any other miscellaneous piece of furniture she can find.

For some reason I am not too fond of this new daredevil lifestyle.... :(

"Man, I really like Vegas" -Elvis Presley

My darling Ophelia has had a busy couple of days enjoying some of the many beautiful parts of this city. On Wednesday we met up with Uncle Philip, Granny Lizbeth and some friends who were in town visiting for a few days. We all took a trip out to Red Rock to do a little hiking and to appreciate the gorgeous mountains that are just a short drive out of town. Ophelia took her very first trip in The Backpack...

and even did a little climbing with grandma!

Philip raced ahead on the trail.

And all that beauty and adventure wore Miss Rose out. She was asleep before we even got back to the car...

Today we took a trip down to the Bellagio to see the Fountains (One of my all time favorite places to visit on the Las Vegas Strip). Ophelia was surprised by how high the water shot into the air and even signed that it scared her, but seeing the ducks in the lake calmed her down.

Afterwards we stopped in at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, decorated beautifully for the season.

I can't wait to get the tree up in our house! She is going to love it!
